Asgard
Written by Xavier Dorison. Art by Ralph Meyer.
A Viking hunter pursues a sea monster through icy fjords.
Overview
Asgard, called Ironfoot for his metal leg, joins a dangerous voyage after a creature attacks fishermen. Dorison and Meyer began the story in 2012, drawing on both Norse legend and the practical hazards of the hunt.
Why It Matters
The protagonist’s status as an outsider matters as much as his skill. Others see an omen in the creature; he has to meet a physical danger that may exceed myth.
Genre & Themes
Historical sea adventure and mythic monster hunt share a stark northern setting.
Art & Visual Identity
Meyer’s turbulent water, harsh cliffs and expressive faces make the voyage feel physically costly.
